19 species of the lichen genus Cladonia are known from Iran. Several species reporded in this paper are new to the country: Cladonia cariosa, C. chlorophaea, C. coniocraea, C. fimbriata, C. rei, C. subulata, and C. symphycarpa. Most of the records represent range extensions from the Caucasus region.
